Think Outside Program
NAS has developed a curriculum that balances theoretical “book” knowledge and real-world, hands-on, relevant skills. Throughout the course of the first phase of the program, mentees will participate in the following modules:
-
Cleaning and Sanitation
-
Horticulture
-
Farm Equipment
-
Hospitality
-
Leadership and Entrepreneurship
Each module contains information that mentors will use to guide on-site instruction. Mentees will benefit from reading through the module material and applying it to their own field through application questions, place requirements, and personal reflection.
Both mentors and mentees benefit from this cooperative learning approach that emphasizes the holistic nature of running an agribusiness.
